BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Overview: StringTime Music Camp is a fun 5 day beginner violin and cello camp taught by some of the best young-adult musicians in the country. Your children will learn to hold an instrument, read music, and perform in an ensemble concert at the end of the week. StringTime Music Camp is the only time your child can try an instrument without committing to a semester of lessons or getting locked into an instrument rental contract.

CAMP LOCATION: StringTime will meet at Church of the Good Shepherd in Burke, VA. We are located on Braddock Rd, just 3 miles from George Mason University in Fairfax County.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Details:
- Ages: Completed 3rd-5th grades
- Time: 9:00am-4:45pm (optional early drop-off 8:00am and late pick-up 6:00pm)
- Session 1: June 20th-24th,
- Session 2: June 27th-July 1st
- Location: Church of the Good Shepherd (9350 Braddock Rd. Burke, VA 22015)
- Instrument selection: Students pick violin OR cello. Students wanting to learn both instruments must attend both sessions.
Camp Program:
- Instrument instruction: hold the instrument and use the bow
- Musicianship class: note reading, theory, rhythm, and ear training
- Technique in twos: rotate through instrument specific technique class in pairs
- Ensemble rehearsals: work together in a group, concentrate, and follow along
- Game time: indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
StringTime Music Camp teachers have played on some the world's most famous stages, studied with some of the best musicians alive, performed hour long concerts from memory, and won scholarships to extremely competitive programs.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Each session will have a closing concert on the last day of camp at 5:00pm. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Violins and cellos are provided at no additional cost. No prior musical experience is required to attend. Registration is on a first come/first served basis.

Deposit: $75 (refundable through February 28th)
Tuition: $600 per session (15% sibling discount)
