BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Kaleidoscope: A Summer Arts and Nature Adventure, offers hands-on experiential, engaging activities in visual arts, movement, drama, and nature studies. Kaleidoscope provides children with refreshing and creative ways to understand the world and express themselves.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Kaleidoscope serves children of diverse abilities.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Music/Band, Math, Science, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Dance, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Located on Madison, Wisconsin's east side at Schenk's Corners, 1957 Winnebago Street, in the heart of the city's arts district.
CAMP FACILITIES: Open studio space for activities. Partnership with the Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Visual art is taught by an experienced artist/educator.
Movement and Drama are taught by the coordinator of the program. She is an award-winning choreographer and Kennedy Center teaching artist trained through the Overture Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Music is taught by a highly skilled musician/educator who has worked across the US. He is lively and creative.
